Of course, everything that could go wrong did. I burned the sauce, the smoke alarm wouldn't stop shrieking, and when I rushed to save the tiramisu, I knocked the whole thing off the counter. When she knocked on the door, I was standing there covered in flour and tomato sauce, looking like I'd been through a war. She took one look at me, then at the disaster behind me, and just burst out laughing. 'Okay, what's the backup plan?' she asked, trying not to laugh too hard. I sheepishly pulled out my phone. 'Pizza?' We ended up on my living room floor with a large pepperoni, watching some old movie, and I couldn't believe how much more relaxed I felt.

Our first camping trip was going perfect until the weather turned bad. What started as light rain turned into this crazy storm. Our cheap tent was leaking everywhere.
